As a Registered Nurse on the Progressive Care Unit, you will provide patient‑centered care and coordinate all functions during your shift. In collaboration with the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care according to policies, serve as a resource for staff, and model the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient‑centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the facility’s engagement efforts by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse or a current active multistate RN license.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Certification preferred within 18 months in one of the following: ANCC Med‑Surg (RN‑BC), MSNCB Med‑Surg (CMSRN), ANCC PCCN, or ANCC Cardiac‑Vascular (RN‑BC).
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of the unit and leadership/management experience is preferred.
