With an exciting leadership transition ahead, We Ride 4 is seeking a full-time Executive Director to lead the organization year-round beginning in 2026. The Executive Director will oversee all administrative, fundraising, sponsorship, and community engagement activities while working closely with the Board of Directors. Sharon Madison, co-founder and current Executive Director, will remain actively involved as a member of the Board to support continuity and legacy.
Melissa Baumann will continue managing Cycling Club Operations, and John Genell will continue as Director of Operations and WR4 Adventures, ensuring these core areas remain strong and aligned with the mission. In addition, Paloma Teran will remain on staff as an administrative assistant three days per week to provide ongoing operational and organizational support.

We Ride 4 is a vibrant nonprofit cycling community dedicated to supporting children’s causes through the power of cycling. With more than 300 members, an engaged board, and a strong network of sponsors and volunteers, We Ride 4 brings people together to ride, connect, and give back.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all We Ride 4 programs and initiatives
- Lead fundraising efforts including sponsor ships, donor engagement, and grant opportunities
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and coordination with the Board of Directors
- Guide marketing, communications, and outreach to grow awareness and support
- Work closely with Melissa Baumann to ensure the continued success and positive experience of the Cycling Club and its members
- Collaborate with John Genell to support WR4 Adventures and ensure alignment across all programs
- Serve as the public face of We Ride 4, strengthening relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Cultivate partnerships with youth-focused nonprofits aligned with the WR4 mission
- Maintain and improve organizational systems, processes, and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in nonprofit or community-based leadership
- Strong communication, fundraising, and organizational skills
- Experience cultivating sponsor and donor relationships
- Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Passion for cycling, philanthropy, and youth-focused causes
- Collaborative, hands-on leadership style
