Manager, Relationship Events at Alzheimer's Association®
Position Grade & Compensation: Grade 205 – The Alzheimer's Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $60,000 – $65,000
Reports To: Vice President of Development
As Manager of Relationship Events, you will be responsible for implementing the Purple Gala and its surrounding events, meeting or exceeding budgeted goals through volunteer recruitment, engagement, and corporate development. Your role includes managing the Gala and supporting other corporate‑development initiatives as directed, achieving measurable outcomes such as volunteer and corporate engagement and revenue growth.
Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of the Chapter’s Gala and its associated events
- Lead high‑level volunteer recruitment, training, coaching, and management to meet revenue and engagement objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with key volunteers, participants, sponsors, community leaders, and corporate partners
- Manage financial aspects of sponsor and donor fulfillment
- Prospect, cultivate, and steward Gala sponsors and donors to achieve development goals through volunteer networks
- Maintain year‑round relationships with key corporate sponsors, donors, and volunteers for involvement in chapter activities and recognition opportunities
- Collaborate with the volunteer planning committee to organize outreach activities that promote the Alzheimer’s Association mission
- Ensure adherence to Alzheimer’s Association standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Engage in professional learning opportunities for growth and self‑improvement
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of proven experience in corporate fundraising and relationship building, recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals
- Demonstrated ability to form and develop relationships and partnerships
- 5–7 years of experience in galas/special events with proven success in special‑event fundraising or related activities; strong volunteer management experience essential
- Goal‑oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
- Adaptive and flexible with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands
- Initiative‑driven, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory by car; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record, and insurance required; occasional overnight or air travel may be required
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends as needed
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport up to 25 lbs. of materials
