Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm.


Job Purpose and Overview

The Training Coordinator will lead our Training programs to assist our manufacturing leaders in strategy development, process deployment, operations improvement, and change management initiatives to drive the plant to Best in Class processes. They will participate in the development and analysis of long-term plans that are aligned with the external market and internal strategies. They are expected to positively impact our operations by managing the execution of best practices and addressing gaps.


What Does It Take to be a Training Coordinator at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in training and onboarding, preferably within the food and/or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Demonstrated competence with Continuous Improvement and/or training initiatives.
  • Competence with Lean Manufacturing principles would be an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and logistics systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required


What will you do as a Training Coordinator at Dawn Foods?

  • Ensures that our training programs meet all requirements (legal, regulatory, corporate)
  • Ensures that all required training is up to date at all times
  • Ensures that all training programs are aligned with other aspects of the operation (job descriptions, wage progression, processes, procedures, expectations, standards)
  • Create measures of accountability to audit training skills of TMs
  • Oversee Alchemy site compliance and timely completion
  • Serve as a liaison between hourly TMs and Leadership
  • Assist and support operations during product trials and batch audits
  • Coach and train Supervisors on factory processes and procedures
  • Facilitate New Hire training and Job Bid changes, identify opportunities, and document progress by conducting weekly audits of performance
  • Create and maintain written SOPs for all positions on manufacturing lines
  • Maintain Training Matrices and individual performance
  • Works with the Continuous Improvement Specialist to foster improvement on efficiency, output, quality and reduction cost.
  • Implements and promotes Lean Manufacturing principles within operations.
