Job DescriptionProduce and maintain high quality syrup supply to can and bottle filling line through consistent and accurate batching procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives, First Pass Quality, and union requirements. The position is based in Denver, CO.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare control drinks for each tank of syrup.
- Perform lab testing such as Brix, Titratable Acidity, Carbonation, pH, Taste, Odor, Appearance, Net Contents, Sodium Content, headspace, dissolved oxygen, HPCL chemicals.
- Conduct on‑going shelf‑life assessments for finished products as scheduled.
- Perform receiving procedures, Seam Full and Abbreviated Seam inspections, and Removal Torque testing for PET packaged products.
- Participate in Lean and Five S laboratory practices.
- Gather, assemble, and ship out samples to outside customers and store shelf‑life samples.
- Report compromised ingredients, significant spills or out of standard conditions.
- Run backwash of carbon and green sand filtration units, test water chemistry, and maintain water treatment chemicals.
- While relieving Syrup Technician, make a tank(s) of syrup and perform routine line checks, prepare control drinks, and perform change overs as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years’ experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food production preferred.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience with quality control procedures, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and coordinate with team members.
- Proficient in window‑based PC programs and laboratory test equipment maintenance.
- Flexibility to work the specified evening/night shift and occasionally on weekends.
- Competitive wages: $24.80/hr to $31.00/hr.
