POSITION SUMMARY:

Our fast growing client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Project Manager to support its growing marketing team through improved budget management and operational rigor. This hybrid role will serve as a bridge between marketing, procurement, legal, and finance, ensuring smooth execution of processes, clear communication, and timely financial tracking. Ideal candidates will bring hands-on experience with managing budgets, implementing templates, and driving accountability within dynamic teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Budget Management:

    • Track and manage budget allocations for the marketing team.

    • Monitor spend and ensure alignment with quarterly targets.

    • Open purchase orders, follow up on invoicing, and ensure timely payments.

    • Proactively flag issues and escalate concerns when needed.

  • Operational Project Management:

    • Establish operational processes and templates to drive consistency and rigor.

    • Act as the go-to person for financial templates and best practices.

    • Improve organizational rhythm by streamlining internal workflows.

  • Cross-Functional Communication:

    • Serve as a liaison between Marketing, Procurement, Legal, and Accounts Payable.

    • Ensure smooth interlocks and clear updates across teams.

    • Support legal and procurement alignment related to PO and vendor setup.

  • Team Coordination:

    • Organize weekly project team meetings and provide structure.

    • Help bring clarity to priorities and timelines across a busy team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in budget or financial project management.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Proven experience managing budgets and improving team operational workflows.

  • Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel.

  • Familiarity with tools like  and Coupa (or similar procurement tools).

Preferred:

  • Experience managing or facilitating cross-functional meetings.

  • Background in fast-paced, high-growth environments or marketing operations.
