Director of Marketing and Business Development
Affidian Credit Union is seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development to design, lead, and execute the Credit Union’s strategy for business development, marketing, brand awareness, member engagement, and business growth. This role ensures alignment with the Strategic Business Plan, drives organizational visibility, and strengthens member loyalty.
Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $/yr. The salary is commensurate with experience. Affidian Credit Union offers a comprehensive health benefits package, generous PTO, paid holidays, and eligibility for participation in the 401K plan.
Strategic Leadership- Develops and executes a comprehensive marketing and growth strategy aligned with the Strategic Plan and organizational goals.
- Identifies short-term and long-term strategic issues, opportunities, and competitive threats; prepares recommendations and actionable strategies for executive management.
- Directs all marketing programs, campaigns, advertising, digital content creation, and brand communication across all channels.
- Ensures brand consistency and quality in all messaging, materials, and member-facing communications.
- Utilizes ROI analysis, campaign reporting, and performance dashboards to optimize marketing effectiveness.
- Oversees market research activities, including data collection, segmentation, forecasting, and competitive analysis.
- Provides executive-level reporting on market trends, member needs, product performance, and emerging opportunities.
- Directs and oversees the activities of Business Development Representatives, ensuring outreach execution, pipeline development, relationship building, and SEG engagement.
- Designs member‑engagement strategies, retention programs, and community‑impact initiatives.
- Supports staff training and communication tools to reinforce sales goals, product knowledge, business development visits, and member‑experience expectations.
- Develops and manages the annual marketing and business development budget; monitors variances and implements corrective actions.
- Measures and communicates ROI, campaign performance, growth outcomes, and business‑development impact to leadership.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with members, staff, and the public.
- Works independently with minimal supervision while providing proactive strategic leadership.
- Displays initiative, creativity, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
- Enthuses teams and supports staff in achieving sales and engagement goals.
- Extensive knowledge of Credit Union products and services; continuously learns current market trends.
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude; complies with all directives in the Affidian CU Employee Handbook.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Strategic Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Five or more years of progressive experience in marketing, strategy, business development, or related leadership roles in financial services or similar industries.
- Strong relationship‑building and client‑engagement skills with a member‑centric focus.
- Expertise in marketing strategy, brand development, data analytics, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, creative content development, and communications.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and collaborate across teams.
Duties are performed in an office environment; full‑time, in‑office position at 700 W. 39th Avenue, Denver, CO 80216. Normal hours Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends for business development needs. Travel to business events or branch locations may be required.
