Hose & Rubber Supply is a regional industrial distributor serving the Rocky Mountain West with six branch locations across five states. We specialize in hydraulic and industrial hose, fittings, assemblies, and custom tube bending solutions. Our customers span oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, medical, military, and government sectors.

The Role

The Branch Manager is the general manager of the business for the Denver location.

This role carries full P&L ownership and is responsible for driving profitable growth, operational excellence, inventory discipline, and team development. While a strong understanding of hose, fittings, and industrial environments is essential, business acumen is the defining requirement for success in this role.

You will be expected to read, understand, and actively manage financial performance, identify opportunities to improve margin and sales productivity, and make data-driven decisions that strengthen both branch results and company cash flow.

This is a leadership role for someone who thinks like an owner, leads from the front, and understands how daily operational decisions translate into financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Business & Financial Leadership
  • Own full branch P&L performance, including sales, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability
  • Review monthly financial statements and proactively identify opportunities to improve margins, reduce waste, and increase revenue
  • Translate financial results into clear operational actions for the team
  • Manage inventory investment, turns, and accuracy with a strong focus on cash flow and service levels
  • Partner with leadership to set goals, budgets, and performance expectations
Customer & Market Leadership
  • Ensure the branch consistently delivers on customer commitments
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and understand local market dynamics
  • Balance service excellence with disciplined pricing and margin management
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing branch team
  • Establish clear expectations, goals, and accountability for all roles
  • Conduct regular performance discussions and branch meetings
  • Develop future leaders capable of managing a branch
  • Create a culture of ownership, safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Operations, Inventory & Facilities
  • Ensure accurate inventory through disciplined cycle counting and system integrity
  • Provide actionable feedback to central purchasing on inventory levels and mix
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse and facility
  • Ensure proficiency in all applicable Trulin

    X systems and tools
What We’re Looking For Required Capabilities
  • Strong understanding of industrial hose, fittings, and mechanical applications
  • Demonstrated ability to read and manage a P&L
  • Proven experience improving profitability through operational and financial discipline
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead people, manage conflict, and hold accountability
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
Physical & Environment Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to perform hands-on work in a warehouse environment as needed
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of experience in the hose or industrial distribution industry
  • Prior leadership or management experience required
  • Experience running a branch, department, or business unit strongly preferred
Total Compensation
  • $95,000 – $160,000+ annually
  • Quarterly Profit Sharing tied directly to branch performance
Schedule

Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays
