The Cultural Facilities & Events Director is a creative professional responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the Art Park campus at Arkins Park (Art Park). This role oversees the coordinated management of the Truss House, Prep Kitchen/Restaurant, one-acre event lawn, shared campus spaces, as well as artist studios across the RiNo Art District. The position reports to the Executive Director of the RiNo Art District, works in close collaboration with RAD’s Programs Manager, as well as campus partners including Denver Parks & Recreation and the Bob Ragland Branch of the Denver Public Library (DPL), a key tenant within the Art Park at Arkins Park ecosystem.
This role stewards the facility side of a unique cultural ecosystem, shared with DPL and multiple arts and culture partners, ensuring that artists, chefs, creatives, neighbors, makers, musicians, performers, and community partners all have a well‑run platform to amplify and incubate their cultural work.

Campus, Venue & Facilities Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Truss House, Prep Kitchen, Lawn, artist studios, and shared Art Park/Arkins Park spaces.
- Coordinate closely with the Bob Ragland Branch of Denver Public Library to harmonize creative activity, community use, and operational needs across the campus.
- Manage artist studios across the art district with support of on-site studio managers: leases, occupancy strategy, onboarding/offboarding, access, and communication with studio tenants.
- Serve as a strategic operational partner in evaluating programming feasibility, calendar balance, and revenue impact to support sustainable artistic and community goals.
- Oversee and coordinate campus-wide scheduling, booking systems, and long-term operational planning to align programming, revenue goals, staffing capacity, and facility readiness.
- Establish and uphold operational standards ensuring all spaces are safe, clean, accessible, and fully functional at all times.
- Manage vendor relationships (A/V, lighting, cleaning, security, tech, rentals).
- Review and interpret production requirements, including technical riders, and coordinate advancing with touring acts, vendors, and partners as needed to support successful events.
- Oversee ongoing maintenance and coordinate with the city, contractors, and partners on repairs or capital improvements.
- Implement and maintain systems for inventory, equipment management, and operational readiness.
Events Operations & Execution
- Lead all logistics for rental events (corporate, nonprofit, private, culinary, film, weddings, creative activations) at Truss House and across the Art Park campus.
- Oversee event setup/breakdown, staffing, floor plans, production schedules, and client communication.
- Manage the Truss House event calendar, ensuring alignment with RiNo’s artistic vision and district-wide partnerships.
- Support Program Manager–led programming (including gallery events and community programs) with operational and facilities coordination.
