Construction Project Manager IV – AECOM

Join us at AECOM as a Construction Project Manager IV based in Denver, CO. In this role you will provide embedded on‑site PM/CM support for a Federal modernization construction project.

Responsibilities
  • Support a high‑profile, complex, multi‑year project, managing the scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
  • Coordinate AECOM staff and specialty inspectors, provide oversight and technical quality review of the I/QAM work, and monitor progress to the AECOM Project Manager and GSA Project Team.
  • Lead the integrated collaborative team that supports the Owner’s interests and make sure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule goals.
  • Develop and control budgets and funding strategies.
  • Schedule and coordinate project interactions among existing and occupied facilities.
  • Manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories.
  • Integrate competing or conflicting elements into planning and execution so that project requirements flow smoothly.
  • Apply familiarity with federal and local government office building projects, procedural and approval requirements.
  • Provide overall management administration to the project, assist in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforce company and project policies, maintain close client interface, and ensure construction is executed per design, budget, and schedule.
  • Bear profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction projects.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
  • Secure a Federal HSPD‑12 Tier‑1 adjudication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience managing complex, long‑term, multi‑year projects.
  • Professional Engineering Certification, License, or Architectural Registration.
  • Proven experience completing similar projects in comparable environments.
  • Federal (or state/municipal) governmental experience.
  • Experience with SCIF projects, Land Port of Entry, Air Port of Entry, embassy/military base or federal secure compound/facility.
  • Experience supporting and/or managing complex projects as an Owner’s Representative Construction Project Manager.
  • Knowledge of and experience with planning and procurement phase management, design phase management, construction phase management, and closeout and warranty phase management.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and construction principles, applicable codes, and federal regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Kahua, CAD, BIM, Bluebeam, Procore, and related software.
  • Physical ability to work on an active construction site in harsh environments.
  • Preferred:
    Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
