Responsible for using equipment to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of interior and exterior common areas. Maintain and disinfect environmental services equipment.

• Empty trash and disinfect receptacles in common areas.
• Maintain carpets and floors using vacuums, extractors, and buffing machines.
• Assess damage to floors, carpets, tile, and equipment and report promptly.
• Clean outside furniture and smoking areas.
• Deep clean and disinfect resident rooms before admission or as needed.
• Assist with inventory stocking and notify shortages or overstocks.
• Complete detailed cleaning assignments as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 6 months experience in janitorial or floor care, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience using cleaning equipment such as buffers, extractors, power washers, carpet cleaners.
• Ability to follow checklist operation schedules.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Moderate to heavy activity; up to 75 lbs occasionally, 45 lbs frequently, 22 lbs constantly.
• Constant standing, walking, grasping; frequent stooping, reaching, occasional sitting, crawling, kneeling, squatting.
• Frequent chemical exposure.
• Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and communicable diseases.
• Frequent interruptions.
• Interaction with residents, family, and visitors frequently.
