HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The ART Hotel, located in Downtown Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Professional or Hotel Engineer.
Applications accepted through January 31, 2026, or until filled. Hourly rate: $24–$25 per hour.
Applicants should have the flexibility to work weekends & holidays.
The ART Hotel is in the arts district with state capitol and multiple museums within 10 minutes walking distance. - Maintenance and Repairs
- Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and elevators).
- Perform or supervise preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment. Facility Operations
- Ensure all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces, are in excellent condition.
- Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire safety and building codes.
- Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections.
- Monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement energy‑saving initiatives and sustainable practices.
- Collaboration with Other Departments
- Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large‑scale projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In‑depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as elevators and fire safety equipment.
- Skills in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for long‑term efficiency.
- Ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems.
- Understanding energy‑efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
- Certifications like HVAC Technician, Electrician License, or OSHA safety training are preferred.
- Guest Sensitivity:
Awareness of how maintenance activities can impact guests and taking measures to minimize disruptions.
