Proposed hiring rate of $28.50 to $32.00+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

* Job Summary:

** The Vehicle Maintenance Small Engine & Golf Technician is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of all motorized and specialized machinery used to maintain the golf course. The goal is to work closely with the Superintendent  and Assistant Superintendent to keep the golf course maintenance operation running smoothly. This position also assists with repairs to snowmobiles, side by sides and other Copper Vehicles when needed.

Provides Copper Mountain Resort with maximum safe vehicle availability.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Performs PMI’s and resulting repairs in accordance with Powdr Copper Mountain’s Department of Vehicle Maintenance guidelines and standards on fleet, including all vehicles, ensuring maximum safe vehicle availability, with minimized costs.
* Troubleshoots, analyzes, repairs, designs, modifies and completes failure analysis on small engine vehicles and machines.
* Performs minor repairs on a leased golf cart fleet. Major repairs are done by Vendor.
* Maintains mowing reels to include sharpening of reels, sharpening of bed knifes, replacing bearings and setting the height of cut as requested by the superintendent.
* Frequently analyzes the quality of cut and other results of cultural practices in the field with or without the Superintendent.
* Operates all golf course and other equipment to evaluate the results of previously performed maintenance.
* May be asked by the Superintendent to perform other golf course maintenance duties outside of the shop.
* Assist in training seasonal staff on the safe and proper operation of equipment, including pre-operational safety checks.
* Is responsible for the inventory of golf course equipment parts. ·
* Expected to assist in keeping the golf maintenance bay clean and organized to provide a safe working environment
* Is responsible for inventory, repair and clean-up of one or more of the following areas: (a) tires, (b) paint and body, (c) welding, (d) fuel inventory, (e) lube supplies/hazardous materials, (f) general shop equipment, and (g) hydraulics.
* Is accountable for accurate and precise recording of daily activities on work orders, indirect labor logs, and parts requisition to be used on the evaluation and administration portion of the Department’s operation.
* Consults manuals, trade publications, trade associations, vendors, fellow employees, outside schools and training programs in order to stay up-to-date in new maintenance technologies to improve the efficiency and production of our operation.

* Has consistent contact with fellow Golf and Vehicle Maintenance employees and occasional contact with operating department employees. Has occasional contact with outside vendors.

Administration Duties:
