Innovative Driven is currently seeking a charismatic and professional Litigation Paralegal with hands-on complex litigation experience to join the team at one of our most well-respected law firm clients! The firm focuses on high-stakes civil trials, appeals, related commercial litigation cases and catastrophic torts.
Regular hours are hybrid of onsite and remote, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MT, including lunch hour. The role is also OT and bonus eligible!
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in all phases of complex medical malpractice litigation, including going to trial. Additionally, candidates must have a willingness to travel for trials.
DUTIES- Facilitate the stages of litigation from intake through appeal, including tracking document productions and ensuring the case file is complete and trial-ready
- Maintain meticulous and organized case files
- Organize, manage large volumes of documents and voluminous medical records.
- Assist with preparation of pleadings and discovery in federal and state court matters, and arbitration proceedings.
- Anticipate and meet docketing and calculating deadlines
- Research and interpret court rules across various jurisdictions
- Analyze, review, and organize documents and data from materials produced during discovery
- Prepare documents and responses to discovery requests.
- Prepare cases for trial and attend as necessary
- Finalize case briefs by performing thorough legal and factual cite checking, ensuring adherence to citation style (Bluebook), proofreading, and compiling relevant exhibits.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required or a combination of education, certifications, and demonstrable work experience.
- Paralegal certificate is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience handling complex litigation including going to trial.
- Minimum of two years of medical malpractice experience
- At least five years of experience with cite checking and use of the Blue Book.
- Experience working with federal/state court litigation cases from inception through trial.
- Experience in calendaring all deadlines and researching court specific rules.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and workload efficiently, which includes recording all billable and non-billable time spent on case files and client matters.
