Overview
Walker Law, LLC is a personal injury law firm located centrally at I-25 and Colorado Boulevard in Denver, Colorado. We are a new law firm and growing exponentially, with one lawyer and four employees. Jason Walker, Esq. has practiced personal injury law for over 20 years and has worked with the top lawyers in the country. We are looking for full-time, Monday
- Friday, 9am- 5pm, paralegal with at least two years’ experience in personal injury, with three to four years preferred. We are seeking an experienced paralegal who wants a long-term position with career growth potential to manage teams as the firm continues to grow. This position is expected to lead to additional opportunities for career advancement as the firm continues to grow exponentially.
This individual will play a critical role in firm development, pre-litigation case development, client communication, and overall case management in litigated cases. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and empathetic, with a strong ability to manage multiple cases in a well-staffed medium-paced environment. Walker Law LLC has a controlled caseload, and we are typically working ahead of the schedule instead of putting out fires.
Qualifications
- Technologically proficient in Adobe, Word, Outlook, PDF, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain organized case records and documents;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Independent thinker and initiative-taker;
- Bachelor’s degree and a Paralegal Certificate preferred;
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Collaborate with attorney, firm record administrator and other departments to improve workflows, enhance client service, and support firm goals.
- Strong knowledge of pre-litigation personal injury processes;
- Client contact and ongoing communication;
- Conducting client intakes;
- Opening insurance claims and handling subrogation matters;
- Managing the medical specialist at the firm and overseeing the requesting, retrieving, reviewing, and organizing medical records and bills;
- Managing firm employees and internal deadlines to keep the cases progressing early;
- Drafting and preparing demand letters and exhibits;
- Assisting with settlement statements and case disbursements;
- Maintaining accurate and organized case files;
- Familiarity with Clio case management software preferred;
- Collaborating with attorney and legal staff as a liaison to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
- Assist Lawyer in the management all phases of personal injury litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, trial, appellate procedure, and communication with clients, opposing parties, courts, experts, and vendors;
- Assist Lawyer with drafting and filing pleadings, discovery requests/responses, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents;
- Conduct factual and legal research using Lexis and other sources for attorney use;
- Organize and maintain a medium volume of case files, pleadings, expert materials, attorney notebooks, case calendars, trial exhibits, and other documents in hard copy and on electronic case management systems;
- Track deadlines for filings, hearings, and discovery responses;
- Coordinate depositions, medical examinations, and court appearances;
- Assist attorney as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and support.

Compensation & Benefits- This position has a starting salary within the range of $55,000 to $80,000 and will be commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience;
- Hybrid working options are available after three months of working in the office, with a requirement of at least three days in the office per week;
- Parking pass included;
- Profit and performance bonus at end of the year.
