Position: Paralegal - Workers' Compensation

We are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our expanding Workers’ Compensation practice. This is a busy position that will support several attorneys. The ability to manage a heavy caseload is a must. Qualifications for this position include an ABA Paralegal Certificate, Bachelor or Associates degree, preferred, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years' of Workers’ Compensation experience, preferably with a defense firm.

Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years' workers' compensation experience, preferably with a defense firm;
  • Knowledge of Colorado Workers’ Compensation regulations and laws;
  • Proficient in DOWC and OAC rules and procedures;
  • Obtain, review and analyze medical, financial, tax, and employment records, or any other relevant documents and records;
  • Prepare medical record summaries;
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and routine correspondence;
  • Highly experienced in docketing and maintaining calendaring systems;
  • Experienced in maintaining hard and soft filing systems;
  • Well-developed writing and research skills;
  • Experience in billing time;
  • Ability to stay focused on numerous details while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
  • Anticipating attorney’s needs, identifying problems, and finding solutions;
  • Ability to work with limited supervision;
  • Bachelor or Associate degree, preferred, and;
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when necessary.

The hiring range for this position is $55,000 to $93,400 annually.
