Associate Attorney

National law firm Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP seeks an associate attorney with 2 to 7 years’ experience in civil litigation to join the new Denver office of the firm. Civil and/or commercial litigation experience, especially in federal courts, is preferred; a previous judicial clerkship is strongly preferred. Excellent written advocacy skills and a valid Colorado Bar license are required.

• Defend insurance carriers in complex, multi‑party insurance coverage and bad‑faith litigation.
• Defend architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors in construction defect matters.
• Advise and defend employers in various labor and employment cases.
• Defend transportation, hospitality, real estate, and other companies in minor to catastrophic personal injury matters.
• Gain practical and hands‑on experience at every stage of litigation—from initial advice and counsel through trial, arbitration, and/or appeal.
