Paralegal – Workers’ Compensation
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our expanding Workers’ Compensation practice. This busy position will support several attorneys and requires efficient management of a heavy caseload.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications- 3 to 5 years of workers’ compensation experience, preferably with a defense firm.
- Knowledge of Colorado Workers’ Compensation regulations and laws.
- Proficiency in DOWC and OAC rules and procedures.
- Obtain, review, and analyze medical, financial, tax, and employment records; prepare medical record summaries.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and routine correspondence.
- Highly experienced in docketing and maintaining calendaring systems.
- Maintain hard and soft filing systems.
- Well-developed writing and research skills.
- Experience in billing time.
- Ability to stay focused on numerous details while maintaining high accuracy.
- Anticipate attorneys’ needs, identify problems, and find solutions.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Bachelor's or Associate degree (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when necessary.
- ABA Paralegal Certificate (required).
Range: $55,000 – $93,400 annually.
