Clyde & Co US LLP seeks litigation associates with 3 to 9 years of experience to join our growing insurance coverage practice in California. The practice represents insurers in complex commercial and insurance litigation matters concerning commercial general liability and excess policies.
What You’ll Do- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings and draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs and legal correspondence related to insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings and mediations.
- Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines and communication with clients.
- Is admitted to practice in California.
- Has experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation, or a commercial litigation background with an interest in insurance coverage work.
- Has excellent legal research, writing and oral communication skills.
- Has strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Can simultaneously handle sensitive and time‑sensitive matters.
- Has effective problem‑solving skills.
- Can manage and prioritize multiple projects.

The salary range for this position is $160,000–$220,000. The range takes into account skills, experience, licensure, certificates and other business needs. Compensation decisions are based on applicable facts and circumstances.
