Data Privacy Associate

Greenberg Traurig, LLP (GT) is seeking an attorney with 2–3 years of experience counseling on data privacy matters to join our Chambers‑ranked data privacy group in the Denver office.

GT’s Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity group advises clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start‑ups. In this role you will work on a wide range of data privacy issues such as cross‑border transfers, product counseling for cookies and ad‑tech, and compliance with evolving data privacy laws. The focus is purely data privacy—there is no heavy emphasis on data security, breach response, or breach investigation.

This is a partner (shareholder) track position.

• Counsel clients on cross‑border data transfers and related compliance.
• Draft and review privacy notices, data protection impact assessments, and records of processing.
• Advise on compliance with the CCPA, modern state privacy laws, GDPR, FTC Act, and other global privacy regulations.
• Provide client service, written reports, and strategic guidance on privacy matters.

• Admission to practice law in Colorado with excellent academic credentials.
• 2+ years of experience specializing in legal advice on data privacy matters.
• Experience assisting companies with compliance issues related to the CCPA, modern state privacy laws, GDPR, FTC Act, and other global privacy laws and regulations.
• Experience drafting and revising privacy notices, data protection impact assessments, records of processing, and other privacy compliance documents.

$205,000 to $235,000 per year.
