MGT Insurance is building a leading, tech-enabled specialty Commercial P&C insurance company, by pairing industry experts with best-in-class technology. We are looking for experienced leaders who are comfortable operating independently and in an entrepreneurial environment.

MGT Insurance is looking for an entrepreneurial E&S Underwriter to help shape the next chapter of our company. This is not a plug-and-play underwriting role - it’s an opportunity to be part of a small, highly empowered team building a modern E&S platform in one of the fastest-growing segments of the insurance market. As an Underwriter at MGT, you’ll have real ownership.

You’ll manage a portfolio, assess and price risk, recognize exposures, structure thoughtful coverage solutions, and partner closely with our broker partners to grow profitable, sustainable business. Your decisions matter, and you’ll be accountable for outcomes. We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and has a strong bias for action. The work is challenging - and intentionally so - but also deeply rewarding.

• Experience:
  
  3+ years underwriting E&S (excess & surplus) commercial insurance. Candidates with 3+ years brokering E&S commercial insurance will be considered, if technical risk analysis skills are strong.

• Embrace the idea of adapting to new technology and systems, early adopter mentality.
• Proven ability to partner with other key roles - including product management and technology.
• Builder’s mentality - has a strong bias for action, and embraces the idea that no two days are similar when building and scaling an AI-driven insurer.

• Experience working at an early stage insurtech company
• Past entrepreneurial experiences, whether insurance related or not

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $120,000 per year
