We're rebuilding our backend platform from a legacy monolith to modern Go microservices with Temporal workflow orchestration. This is an incremental migration: both systems run in parallel until we've proven correctness with real traffic. Every dollar must be accounted for and zero-downtime is non-negotiable.

We're doing this AI-first. AI is central to how we design, write, test, and migrate code. We use LLMs to analyze legacy codebases, generate migration scaffolding, write contract tests, and validate behavioural equivalence between old and new systems. How effectively you work with AI is as important as how effectively you manually write code.

• Build domain services in Go that incrementally replace legacy business logic
• Design Temporal workflows for complex, multi-step business processes
• Run a strangler-fig migration: shadow-traffic test, compare responses, cut over safely
• Build resilience and observability into every service from day one
• Use AI tooling throughout
• Collaborate with product and engineering to define technical strategy

• 3+ years shipping production backend systems
• Go experience, or strong backend experience with ability to learn quickly
• Distributed systems expertise: you understand partial failure, timeouts, and resilience patterns
• SQL fluency
• A productive AI workflow. You already use LLMs daily and have opinions about how to use them

• Temporal, Cadence, or similar workflow engines
• Large-scale system migrations
• Fintech, payments, or regulated industries
• Building custom AI-assisted development workflows or tooling
