Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for aspiring and motivated individuals, who align with our Leadership Principles, for our Software Development Apprenticeship Program. If accepted, apprentices will receive on‑the‑job training leading to an opportunity to join as a Software Development Engineer with AWS. The 12‑month training combines AWS internal training, shadow opportunities, and industry‑recognized certifications. Clear benchmarks are set for compensation increases, conversions, or termination.

Basic Qualifications- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields with a conferral date within the last 24 months or an expected conferral date of March 2026 – September 2026.
- Or a graduate of Skillstorm, WA2
VETS, or MSSA with a conferral date on or after 9/1/25 AND either holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field OR has 4+ years of relevant computer engineering experience.
- Experience with at least one general‑purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or Type Script.
- Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object‑oriented design principles.
- Experience from previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience.

Compensation & BenefitsThe base hourly rate varies by location. Sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) are included. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, EAP, mental health support, FSA, adoption & surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
