AI Portfolio Manager
Project Manager II

You Are

We are hiring a senior AI Portfolio Manager to partner with VP and SVP leadership and support CEO/CTO-level reporting on AI strategy, progress, and impact. This role will bring clarity, structure, and narrative coherence to a growing portfolio of AI initiatives and ensure executive leadership has a trusted, decision-ready view of AI investments across the enterprise.

The Opportunity
  • Partner with VP/SVP stakeholders to shape the enterprise AI narrative for executive forums
  • Maintain a holistic, executive-level view of the AI portfolio (initiatives, priorities, risks, dependencies, outcomes)
  • Establish an AI portfolio governance and reporting layer tailored for CEO/CTO consumption
  • Translate technical and delivery signals into strategic insights, trade-offs, and recommendations
  • Produce executive-ready dashboards, briefings, and readouts
  • Proactively surface portfolio-level risks, trends, and decision points
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on AI progress and readiness to scale
  • AI initiatives are understood and managed as a single enterprise portfolio
  • Risks and trade-offs are surfaced early with clear leadership options
  • The role is viewed as a strategic thought partner, not a reporting function

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need
  • 12+ years in portfolio, program, or enterprise initiative leadership
  • Proven experience supporting VP, SVP, and C-level stakeholders
  • Strong ability to craft executive narratives, not just status reports
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stream portfolios (AI, data, or digital preferred)
  • High executive presence, judgment, and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-evolving environments

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as company-paid life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits.

Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
