Overview

Role: Cloud Architect /Solution Architect

Location: Onsite 4 Days/Week – St. Louis, MO (Preferred) | Charlotte, NC | Denver, CO

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Reliability Test Engineer / Performance Architect to lead resiliency engineering initiatives for enterprise-scale cloud platforms. This is a unique opportunity to define reliability standards, execute chaos engineering practices, and influence architecture decisions across medium to large-scale distributed systems.

This role begins as a deeply hands-on technical position and evolves into strategic leadership—mentoring teams, setting resiliency benchmarks, and driving cloud reliability best practices.

• Own and drive cloud reliability and resiliency strategy
• Establish performance benchmarks, KPIs, and resiliency test coverage standards
• Conduct risk assessments and challenge architectural designs for high availability
• Collaborate with cloud architects and solution teams to ensure scalable, fault-tolerant systems
• Translate functional requirements into resilient solution architecture artifacts
• Lead performance testing and reliability validation across AWS-based environments
• Mentor and train engineering teams on reliability engineering principles
• Provide strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders

• 6–10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, performance engineering, or solution architecture
• Strong experience in resiliency testing and chaos engineering
• Hands-on experience with:
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Terraform
  • Datadog
  • Python
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, high availability, and fault tolerance
• Experience designing and implementing medium to large-scale systems across multiple platforms
• Excellent communication skills – ability to influence architecture and mentor teams
