Systems Engineer, Data Engineer
Our client is seeking a System Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Denver, Colorado or Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Duties- Design, implement, and support enterprise-level AVEVA PI / OSIsoft PI systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity
- Develop and maintain PI Asset Framework (AF) models, hierarchies, analytics, event frames, and data structures to support operational and business use cases
- Configure and support PI Vision dashboards and other visualization tools to deliver actionable insights to engineering, operations, and leadership teams
- Integrate real-time data from field devices, SCADA systems, historians, and enterprise systems using appropriate communication protocols and connectors
- Provide system administration and configuration support for PI Data Archive, AF Servers, interfaces, and related components
- Collaborate across IT and OT teams to ensure secure and reliable networking, server configuration, and data connectivity
- Develop scripts and custom solutions using C# and/or Python to enhance system functionality, automate processes, and build integrations or plugins
- Troubleshoot complex system, performance, and connectivity issues across infrastructure and application layers
- Support business intelligence initiatives by transforming operational data into meaningful insights
- Document system architecture, configurations, and processes, and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI products and tools
- 5+ years of experience with PI Asset Framework (AF) and Analytics
- Strong hands-on experience with PI Vision and other data visualization platforms
- Solid analytical, business intelligence, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent understanding of IT/OT networking, industrial communication protocols, and server hardware/software configuration
- Experience with real-time data connectivity and system integration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

The approximate pay range for this position is between $58.00 and $83.00
. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
