The Ash Group is hiring a Software Systems Specialist for our client (a non-profit organization that provides administrative support for insurance guaranty associations). This is a Direct voeg role based in Denver, CO

Hybrid (3 days onsite in Denver, 2 days remote).

• Lead the development and maintenance of internal Java-based applications
  , focusing on creating well-designed, testable, and efficient backend code.
• Partner directly with end users to analyze requirements, define business objectives, and difference them into actionable Jira user stories.
• Support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial design and implementation to testing and applying fixes.
• Manage the internal help desk, troubleshooting system issues and resolving tickets related to both software and minor hardware/peripheral equipment.
• Monitor IT operations, including AWS cloud infrastructure
  , daily data backups, and network security to ensure maximum uptime.
• Perform data management tasks, including SQL queries, financial transaction processing, and automated data imports/exports (CSV, XLS, PDF).
• Collaborate with external vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure operational integrity and security compliance.

• Software Development: 2–5 years of overall experience with a strong proficiency in Java (Object-Oriented Programming and concurrency patterns).

• Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS
