The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers, including public sector. WWSO works backwards from its customers’ most complex and business‑critical problems to build and execute go‑to‑market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi‑billion‑dollar businesses. As a WWSO member you will provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.

Within WWSO, this position is part of the Geo Specialist team, where you will lead technical strategy for AWS’ database services for LATAM customers. You will create sales plays, leverage partners, and build new initiatives that drive results for our customers. You will provide critical feedback from customers to inform our product roadmap, and work closely with our partner network to build an ecosystem supporting our customers’ goals.

In emerging areas you will play a critical role as the “first‑in” team to build markets for new services, domains, or solutions, innovating with customers to deliver what they need.

• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience
• Knowledge of cloud architecture

• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networks, data and analytics)
• More than 8 years of experience in design/implementation/consulting/migration of database solutions in one or more of the following banks:
  Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL
• More than 5 years of experience in design/implementation/consulting/migration of No
  
  SQL solutions in one or more of the following products:
  Dynamo
  
  DB, Mongo
  
  DB, Cassandra
• More than 3 years of experience in defining, implementing, or consulting applications and infrastructures
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English is required;
  Portuguese is desirable
