. This is a contract position based out of Denver, CO.

• Advanced SDN & Tenant Isolation (UDN/cUDN)
• Layer 3 Segmentation via OVN‑Kubernetes:
  Implementing User Defined Networks (UDN) to support overlapping RFC
  1918 IP space across multiple sites while maintaining cryptographic or logical isolation.
• BGP Dynamic Routing via FRR‑K8s:
  Configuring the FRR‑K8s Operator to dynamically advertise UDN‑specific routes to the physical Leaf/Spine fabric, specifically handling multi‑hop BGP or complex prefix‑filtering.
• Hardware Offloading:
  Tuning the CNI for high‑performance edge workloads (e.g., SR‑IOV or DPDK integration within a UDN).
• Nested OCP Environments (OCP on VMaaS)
• Recursive Virtualization Performance:
  Optimizing the Kube Virt/Open Shift Virtualization layer to host “Guest” Open Shift clusters with minimal latency overhead.
• Networking for Nested Clusters:
  Solving the “Double Overlay” problem—ensuring that the networking in the nested cluster can communicate efficiently with the physical network without triple‑encapsulation penalties.
• Storage Pass‑through:
  Configuring Dell Power Flex CSI to provide persistent volumes through the virtualization layer to the nested K8s nodes while maintaining snapshot capabilities.

We require a technical resource who is highly skilled and deeply experienced with the top skills. Since we already have RH SMEs on the project team, this role is not for general support but for someone who can operate as the expert in their domain, providing advanced guidance, resolving complex issues independently, and contributing at a senior level without significant oversight.

Contract position, Denver, CO. Fully remote.

Pay range: $100.00 - $115.00/hr.
