Enterprise Mission C2 (EMC2) is building the next generation of mission command capabilities—modern, modular, and scalable systems that support customers across the globe. Our portfolio spans the U.S., Middle East, UK, and Pacific regions, and our focus is on maximizing reuse, accelerating modernization, and delivering interoperable solutions through a unified product line approach.
Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Systems Architect to help shape the future of EMC2 by driving architecture modernization across programs and internal research initiatives (IRADs).
THE WORKAs a Systems Architect within EMC2, you will be a key contributor to the development, integration, and execution of architectures that support both current and future mission needs. You will work across programs and IRADs to design solutions that are open, modular, scalable, and extensible, leveraging modern architecture techniques and technologies. You’ll join a collaborative team responsible for defining architectures that not only solve today’s challenges but also enable long‑term product line growth and adaptability.
This role blends strategic architecture thinking with hands‑on technical execution, helping transition legacy systems toward modern, cloud‑enabled solutions.
- Partner with EMC2 programs and IRAD teams to design, develop, deploy, and migrate legacy, current, and future systems using modern cloud‑based architectures.
- Support execution and integration efforts to ensure solutions are truly open, modular, scalable, extensible, and repeatable.
- Apply modern architecture approaches and technologies such as cloud computing, containerization, and microservices to advance EMC2 product line capabilities.
- Support the design and development of complex architectures across system, software, security, and infrastructure domains.
- Collaborate with program teams to transition proven technologies and capabilities from IRADs into production programs.
- Work across the EMC2 organization to define and standardize system and software component interfaces, maximizing reuse and consistency across the market segment.
- Contribute to modernization efforts by helping programs migrate and evolve legacy architectures using contemporary design techniques.
EMC2 is a mission‑driven, forward‑leaning organization focused on delivering command and control capabilities that matter. We believe in innovation with purpose, technical excellence, and building solutions that scale across customers and missions. Our teams value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and long‑term thinking. We invest in capabilities that can be reused and evolved—because the best architectures don’t just solve one problem, they enable many.
WhoYou Are
You’re a systems thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and shaping architectures that stand the test of time. You’re curious, technically grounded, and motivated by modernization and innovation. You enjoy working across disciplines, influencing design decisions, and helping teams adopt new technologies and architectural approaches. You’re comfortable balancing near‑term program needs with long‑term product line strategy—and you take pride in building solutions that are both elegant and practical.
If you’re driven to modernize, standardize, and elevate systems at scale, EMC2 is a place where your work will matter.
