Summary:

Network Security Engineers protect network infrastructure by designing, implementing, and monitoring security solutions to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats.

• Design and maintain secure network architectures.
• Configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security devices.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Respond to and mitigate security incidents.
• Collaborate with IT teams to secure new systems.
• Maintain network security documentation and policies.
• Implement security patches and updates.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on network security.

• Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in network security.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network protocols.
• Experience with security monitoring tools.

• Certifications like CCNP Security, CISSP.
• Experience with cloud network security.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response.
