Position Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Manager provides oversight and management of the company’s IT Service and Infrastructure value chains, ensuring consistent and effective performance of computer hardware, software, networks, and servers. The role supervises one to four direct reports, acts as the primary contact for ITSM planning, projects, budgets, incident handling, and long‑term problem resolution, and is responsible for administering systems and deploying implementations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Management:
    • Work with vendors to negotiate and manage contracts.
    • Identify new vendors and technologies and negotiate contracts.
    • Make IT purchases and review and approve all IT‑related invoices.
    • Use continual improvement methods to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Leadership:
    • Provide guidance, training, team building, and mentoring to the IT Service team.
    • Delegate tasks to IT Service and Infrastructure members.
    • Review IT Technician performance and take corrective action when necessary.
    • Review change plans to prevent issues.
    • Create a sense of common purpose and commitment.
    • Review training and development options and select appropriate methods.
  • Administration:
    • Respond to vendor, owner, and employee incident escalations.
    • Assist employees with issues using remote access applications.
    • Maintain disaster recovery software, analyze activity, and improve efficiency.
    • Streamline data storage applications such as SharePoint and Dropbox.
    • Assist with office renovations by providing insight into IT capabilities.
    • Maintain and improve enterprise‑wide IT infrastructure and systems.
    • Maintain CMMC v2 evidence and audits.
    • Offer third‑tier support.
    • Perform any other task or duty assigned or required.
  • Best Practice Processes, Tools, and Methods:
    • Identify and lead the introduction of relevant best practice processes, tools, and models using CMMCv
      2.
    • Promote adoption of these practices.
    • Provide advice, coaching, and technical support to embed them.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of these processes and tools.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • ITIL Foundations v4 certificate.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, On‑Prem Active Directory, backup solutions, SharePoint, Dropbox, Windows, macOS, VMware, Cisco Meraki, Smart Deploy, Dell, and Apple hardware systems.
  • Extensive skills, training, and knowledge of software and operating systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of information technology standards and interdependencies with other functional units.
  • Staying current on IT trends, best practices, and ability to develop written policies and procedures.
  • Highly motivated, passionate about excellence, and proactive in initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and capability to deliver high‑quality results the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety and ability to help prevent workplace injuries.
  • Team player with independence to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
