Job DescriptionAs a Vertafore QA Analyst II, you will design and implement test plans to ensure software meets customer standards. You will collaborate with development teams, prioritize risk, and provide feedback to enhance user experience in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Core Requirements And Responsibilities- Identify functional risk and incorporate it into test planning and test case creation.
- Assess risk for business and customer impact.
- Communicate risks that are not mitigated through testing to Senior QA Analyst.
- Provide input on user acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize risk and test cases with peer and senior review.
- Offer feedback to software engineers on features, usability metrics, and user experience.
- Review test scenarios, plans, and cases to ensure coverage according to requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Write and check own test cases for quality and submit for review.
- Conduct systems set‑up and maintain test environments.
- Complete manual user testing of features and identify opportunities for automation.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure front‑end test coverage based on code changes.
- Identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, verify bug fixes, and communicate risks.
- Open bugs based on issues found during testing and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to triage sessions to resolve bugs in new code or during production.
- Document test cases, results, and release notes (as applicable).
- Provide feedback on documentation of user stories and work items.
- Contribute to test automation scripts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities

- Strong presentation and written communication skills.
- College degree preferred.
- Basic understanding of OOP coding concepts.
- Knowledge of the Insurance Industry.
- Experience with CA Agile (Rally), SAFe, qTest.
- Travel required up to 10% of the time.
- Located and working from an office location.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required (close vision).
- Frequent sitting and/or standing.
