The SAP S/4
HANA Solution Architect leads the design, governance, and delivery of integrated SAP solutions across complex landscapes. This role requires deep expertise in SAP S/4,
SAP BTP
, Business Data Cloud
, and legacy HANA BW
, with responsibility for developing scalable, secure, high-performing architectures. The architect plays a critical role in guiding standards, enforcing Clean Core principles
, and ensuring alignment between business processes and end-to-end technical design.
- Architecture & Design:
Develop and maintain holistic end-to-end architecture across SAP S/4 and related non-SAP systems. - Define SAP S/4 data access and integration capabilities to support functional and non-functional requirements.
- Establish and govern SAP standards and enterprise best practices.
- Ensure scalability
, security
, observability
, and performance across all architectural design work.
- Lead design and implementation of business-process-aligned SAP S/4 solutions using SAP BTP, SAP BDC, and related services (Integration Suite, Event Mesh, Data Sphere, Databricks, etc.).
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and direction throughout solution execution.
- Create and guide SAP integration and data governance frameworks.
- Document and circulate architectural standards and reusable patterns for review and approval.
- Conduct solution reviews to validate adherence to architectural principles.
- Stay current on SAP application, integration, and data platform advancements.
- Recommend enhancements to existing system landscapes.
- Mentor team members and encourage knowledge-sharing across teams.
- Minimum 10 years in SAP technologies, including core modules and integration.
- Minimum 5 years in SAP S/4
HANA Utilities (IS-U). - Minimum 5 years hands-on with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite
. - Minimum 3 years in AWS technologies
.
- Experience solutioning S/4 HANA Utilities processes (FICA, Billing, Meter & Device Management, etc.).
- Expertise in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and additional BTP services.
- Strong understanding of SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, and RFC protocols.
- Familiarity with hybrid (on-premise + cloud) integration scenarios.
- Experience with AWS integration and data movement solutions.
- Ability to define and enforce architectural standards and best practices.
- Strong understanding of security, authentication, and authorization within SAP landscapes.
- Experience designing for high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and mentor diverse technical teams.
- Experience working within multi-vendor corporate environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent.
- SAP Certified Solution Architect or SAP Technology Professional certification.
- Experience with Dev Ops or CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of non-SAP integration platforms or middleware.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks (TOGAF, LeanIX).
- Energy or utility industry experience.
