KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Tax - Ignition GenAI to join our Tax Ignition practice.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Ignition product team to develop, test, and maintain new data, technology, ML, and GenAI solutions.
- Engage and partner with Ignition consulting team to support and collaborate with tax business teams and clients on tax initiatives in need of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), data analysis, reporting and visualization, technology development, GenAI solutioning, and more.
- Assist with data acquisition from disparate systems, and in different formats including ERP systems, web, databases and Excel.
- Develop and enhance data, as well as ETL pipelines.
- Perform exploratory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical and current data, identify patterns, and communicate findings via visualization tools.
- Minimum two years of recent experience performing data manipulation, transformation, querying, and analysis using ETL tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, SQL, SSIS, Python, R.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or foreign equivalent in engineering, computer science, data analytics, management information systems, business administration, or related fields;
Master’s degree from an accredited college/university is preferred. - Development experience in database technologies (SQL Server, and more); experience in cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS, and more).
- Experience in dashboarding strategy, design, creation, and maintenance utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View/Qlik Sense, and more.
- Knowledge of development in one or more programming languages (C#, Java); machine learning and/or big data tools (Spark, Hive, and Pig) is preferred;
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; statistical programming knowledge in one or more languages such as R, Python, and SAS. - Demonstrated high level capabilities around multi-tasking, organization, and time management; ability to collaborate in a team environment along with a strong commitment to client service; excellent written and verbal communications skills to pair with strong quantitative and analytic skills.
