1-3+ month contract with potential About Our Client:Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well‑established manufacturing organization, to identify an HR Generalist. This role provides hands‑on HR support to both hourly and salaried employees in a fast‑paced operational environment.
Job Description:The HR Generalist will act as an on‑site HR partner, managing employee relations, investigations, onboarding, benefits support, and compliance‑related HR activities. This position requires strong judgment, proactive communication, and the ability to support multiple locations while maintaining consistency in HR practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters, including investigations and issue resolution
- Coach supervisors and managers on performance management and corrective action
- Support onboarding, new hire paperwork, and orientation across multiple warehouse sites
- Assist employees with benefits questions and provide guidance during open enrollment
- Track and manage leaves of absence, ensuring employees understand available options and processes
- Partner with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture and safe work environment
- Facilitate HR trainings such as onboarding and performance‑related sessions
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records within HR systems
- Travel between local warehouse locations as needed
- Support additional HR initiatives and projects as assigned
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience
- Strong background in employee relations and workplace investigations
- Ability to make sound decisions and know when to elevate issues
- Experience supporting hourly work forces across multiple locations
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, core hours 8:00am–5:00pm. One late shift per week required - Employment Type:
Contract (1–3 months with potential to hire)
