Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist assists the Human Resources Manager or CEO with the implementation of Human Resources and Company policies and procedures. The Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist coordinates the implementation of services, policies, and programs, through the Human Resources staff;

reports to the Human Resources Manager, or CEO, and assists and advises Company managers about Human Resources issues.

Responsibilities
  • Manages. Coordinates onboarding/offboarding process
  • Employment and compliance, regulatory concerns, and reporting, including I-9 and Background checks
  • Interfaces with Employee orientation, development, and training
  • Review and Coordination of policy development and documentation
  • Supports Employee relations
  • Supports Company employee communications
  • Supports Benefits and Medical administration and reconciliation
  • Supports in the Management of employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health programs
  • Sports in the Management of LOA processes, documentation, and communication
  • Leads/Supports talent acquisition initiatives and Recruiting team
Additional Duties
  • The Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist will also be responsible for the following:
  • Assisting the Human Resources Manager or CEO with implementation of policies
  • Filing, appointments and recruiting schedule
  • Assisting the Human Resources Manager or CEO with the development of a superior workforce
  • Assisting with the development of an employee-oriented Company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance
  • Assisting the Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources department while any of the Human Resources staff is taking PTO, or on sick leave
Desired Skills and Experience
  • The Human Resources Generalist will need the following experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Competence in various Human Resources functional areas; recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and organizational development
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional manner
  • Demonstrates an elevated level of judgment and discretion
  • Self-starter, with a “let’s get things done” attitude
  • Must possess a high sense of urgency, initiative, and common sense
  • Must act in a professional and courteous manner, and demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing and organizing workload to meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work well in an environment subject to changing priorities and demands
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline is required
  • Must pass pre-employment reference and a background check
