Overview

The Grand Hyatt Denver is currently seeking a Stewarding Supervisor. The Supervisor assists in the management of the daily operations of the Stewarding Department. The Stewarding Department is responsible for servicing the hotel inventory of glass, china, silver, and dishes, transporting banquet food from kitchen to designated areas, and maintaining back of house cleanliness and sanitation. This will include supervising staff, stocking supplies, monitoring food temperature and quality, inventory, and running dish machines.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate good communication and organization skills. Computer proficiency is also required. Previous food & beverage experience (preferably in a hotel) is required; previous supervisory experience is also required.

This is a fast-paced position that will involve standing and walking during most of the shift. Candidates must be able to lift, push and carry a moderate amount of weight.

This is a full-time opportunity, and candidates must have open availability, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff in the Stewarding Department and assist in daily operations.
  • Stock supplies and manage inventory of glass, china, silver, and dishes.
  • Monitor food temperature and quality as part of back-of-house operations.
  • Operate and monitor dish machines to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and banquet teams to transport food as needed.
Qualifications

  • Refined verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, pull and push a moderate amount of weight (about 50 pounds).
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

The rate for this position is $22.00/hr.
The position will require working all shifts (mornings/days/nights), full availability including weekends and holidays.
