Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC)

Compensation: $55 per session; paid bi-weekly
Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time (Exempt) or W-2 Part-Time (Non-Exempt) Employee
Schedule: Build your own schedule - office hours include:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Location: This is a hybrid role based out of Denver, CO

Role Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LPCC) to become a part of the Denver Wellness Associates team! Your focus will be on providing high quality, outpatient, patient care as part of a team. You will provide diagnostic evaluations and subsequent focused treatment using a variety of evidenced-based treatment interventions and various treatment modalities including individual, family, marital, and group psychotherapies.

In this position, you will meet with clients, analyze their mental health status, and develop a course of therapy to address their issues. You may work with clients who have substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, or eating disorders. You should have some experience with a wide variety of patients and conditions. Our ideal applicant has a master’s degree in psychology or social work and a license from the state.

Clinical experience and CBT or DBT experience is also a requirement.

Licensed Therapist Responsibilities
  • Receives referrals from physicians and mid-level providers.
  • Perform initial evaluations of client needs and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Provide counseling/talk therapy to scheduled patients utilizing professional counseling standards.
  • Formulates differential diagnosis of mild to moderate mental health conditions.
  • Formulates short-term and long-term counseling plans for patients under care.
  • Consults with medical director and other providers regarding complex patients and regarding prescription medications prescribed by providers.
  • Identify patients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g. suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, etc.) and make appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
  • Provide written document of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions
  • Prepares and conducts group counseling utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with other health care providers as appropriate.
  • Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the treatment plan.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical and counseling services, including all necessary billing information.
  • Maintain and update professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Active, unrestricted license: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC in Colorado
  • Strong background in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT)
  • Ability to provide therapy independently
  • Comfort using an EHR and telehealth platforms with adherance to HIPAA
  • Experience conducting psychotherapy with specific populations (children, adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.
  • Experience in outpatient or group practice settings
