Job Summary

Able Light’s Incident Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and effective incident management, investigations of allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults ensuring their immediate and long-term safety for all of Able Light. The role involves field investigations, interviewing, evidence collection, crisis intervention, and coordination and serving as a key liaison between compliance, Operations, HR, and Quality teams and external agencies, facilitating a coordinated approach to Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (ANE) incident resolution and trend analysis.

Duties
  • Intake, Triage & Case Assessment – Receive and review reports of suspected abuse, determine priority, conduct safety assessment, ensure notifications and escalations.
  • Field Investigation – Interview alleged victims, caregivers, witnesses, gather evidence, conduct home visits and on-site investigations.
  • Case Documentation & Reporting – Maintain detailed case notes, prepare regulatory compliant reports that may be used in legal proceedings.
  • Collaboration & Coordination – Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders, make referrals as required.
  • Crisis Intervention & Safety Planning – Develop and implement safety plans, provide emergency interventions, ensure temporary shelter, medical care or protective orders when required.
  • Ongoing Case Management – Monitor client safety, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, close cases when safety and service goals are met; follow up on incidents, track trends, prepare regular reports to leadership on incident trends, resolution effectiveness, and compliance with state laws; assist in development and implementation of abuse prevention and mandatory reporting training.

Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in social services, investigations, and/or case management.
