Position SummaryThis position will be a key member of the ABCD team, providing training and technical assistance (TA) to primary care practices that are implementing Healthy Steps in Colorado. The role supports Healthy Steps Specialists and site-based teams by offering TA focused on model fidelity, billing and sustainability strategies, data collection and reporting, and the quality implementation of all core model components.
This role works to ensure high-quality implementation of the model, long-term sustainability, and strategic growth while ensuring alignment and coordination with other ABCD projects and initiatives.
- Develop content and deliver Community of Practice calls to all Colorado HS Specialists.
- Develop and document customized TA plans and activities for HS sites, based on annual site visits and other qualitative/quantitative data and as directed by grant funders.
- Deliver customized TA to HS sites based on individual site needs.
- Support HS sites in connecting with other early childhood agencies in their communities.
- Train HS sites in best practices for making referrals to early intervention, preschool special education, and other early childhood service partners.
- Support early childhood community partners in connecting with one another and with Healthy Steps sites by facilitating systems building conversations in communities where HS exists or could exist.
- Support HS sites in their family engagement efforts.
- Support HS sites in implementing new protocols to align with National Office requirements.
- Support HS sites in understanding their data and implementing data-based improvements.
- Guide sites in understanding fidelity and reporting requirements of the program.
- Support sites in using their data to guide HS implementation.
- Train new HS Specialists on the HS Colorado Database and other data reporting systems.
- Supports sites engaging in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to ensure the HS model is delivered with fidelity.
- Assist sites in identifying gaps in their child and family level screening and referral processes.
- Provide reflective coaching and technical assistance to clinics to support quality implementation, improvement, and sustainability.
- Experience working in a pediatric integrated behavioral health setting.
- Must be empathetic, supportive, patient and possess high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills that include experience working in a team environment and leading team-based projects.
- Experience using child, parent and family screening tools in a clinical environment.
- Experience providing training and technical assistance to adult learners, including early childhood and/or pediatric professionals.
- Experience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and Excel).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including grant writing or reporting.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, compiling, communication and/or reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work well independently.
- Preferred experience working in a pediatric or family practice environment.
