Position OverviewWithin Field Medical Affairs (FMA) this role directs clinical engagement efforts and develops/implements medical account strategies for NNI products in priority Managed Markets accounts. The incumbent serves as the primary Medical Affairs point of contact for key payers, providing evidence‑based scientific information and maintaining strong relationships with executive decision makers, thought leaders, and business influencers.
- Lead clinical engagement and medical account strategy for strategic and priority Managed Markets accounts.
- Build and sustain relationships with clinicians, pharmacy directors, medical directors, and C‑suite leaders.
- Provide evidence‑based scientific and HEOR information to payers and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver product and scientific updates, presentations, and educational content.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Market Access, Medical Operations, HEOR) to align strategy and optimize NNI products.
- Manage travel (50‑75% overnight) across NV, UT, AZ, CO, NM, KS and support a field‑based presence.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a health‑related system, pharmaceutical, or managed care environment (including internship or residency).
- 3 years in a field medical liaison or managed care setting required.
- Doctoral degree (Pharm
D, MD, PhD) with advanced professional licensure (NP, RPh) required. - Strong knowledge of clinical development, FDA requirements, health economics, and payer formulary processes.
- Proven ability to engage key Managed Markets customers and lead strategic discussions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project‑management skills.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Preferred:
Experience with account management, disease‑area depth, and healthcare system reimbursement knowledge.
- Required 50‑75% overnight travel; territory includes NV, UT, AZ, CO, NM, KS.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record per Novo Nordisk policy.
- Candidate must reside within the territory or a neighboring state with a major airport.
Base salary: $190,000 – $245,000 (annually). Eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. New hire incentives and long‑term incentive compensation are also available.
