Aboutthe Role
As a Mental Health Professional
, you will work closely with our Lead Social Worker and a supportive team of other mental health professionals. Your role will focus on creating a safe, trauma-informed space where Club Members feel heard, supported, and encouraged to thrive. You’ll provide day-to-day emotional, mental, and behavioral health support through meaningful conversations, small group facilitation, and resource referrals. While your primary focus will be at designated Club locations, you may occasionally support other Clubs based on community needs.
You’ll Do
- Lead one-on-one conversations and small group sessions on topics like anger management, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, and more.
- Support youth through crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mediation.
- Advocate for mental health services and resources to support youth and their families.
- Work as part of a team to provide goal‑oriented support to help youth build resilience and emotional well‑being.
- Work with our teams and members at the Dartmouth and Crawford Elementary School Boys & Girls Clubs.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field from a CSWE accredited college or university.
- 2 years of experience in behavior intervention, youth development, small group facilitation, and/or case management.
- Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communications with staff, Club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.
