Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work from the Castro Building (1200 N Federal) 3 days per week and offsite 2 days per week.

The Family and Adult Assistance Division (FAAD) of Denver Human Services is seeking out a flexible, adaptable, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Long-Term Care Eligibility Technician Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting the in-depth research of and reviewing and triaging applications and cases for services provided by the Family and Adult Assistance Division (FAAD). We are looking for candidates that have solid performance within these laws, rules, regulations, computer systems and general practices programs and have the desire to make a difference in our communities in the greatest need, throughout our city.
* Specifically, as a Lead Eligibility Technician you will:
** Be comfortable working in community; exhibit a strong desire to work with vulnerable, at-risk populations
* Process FA/MA/AF/LTC cases and lend their expertise to cases with sanctions, legal permanent residents, and/or undocumented clients.
* Provide in person same day service to clients newly applying for benefits and reauthorizing their existing benefits as needed
* Complete special projects
* Research and resolve coming-due and overdue cases appearing on the Exception Reports, working the Unresolved Flexible Appointment lists, and the RRR Received with Generated Status reports
* Work closely with community and internal customers to resolve escalations and other issues that may arise
* Troubleshooting, screening, tracking and resolving help desk tickets (including case merge tickets) in collaboration with lane leadership and our internal help desk staff.
* Work with a level of unpredictability from clients in need
* Show tact, compassion and comfort in working with clients in crisis
* Work with a high level of independence, productivity and quality when processing cases
* Attend de-escalation and mental health first aid trainings
