About the PositionThe Colorado Immunization Branch (CIB) works to reduce vaccine‑preventable disease by developing and implementing programs that positively influence the uptake of immunizations across the lifespan. This role operates independently, providing training, education, and technical assistance to healthcare providers, public health agencies, community health centers, hospitals, and retail immunization providers using the Immunization Information System (CIIS). It covers development of training curricula, outreach, communication with CIIS users, and backup support for the CIIS Training and Outreach Unit.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training for CIIS, including creating instructional materials, hosting live webinars, maintaining CBT modules, and ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Provide outreach, recruitment, and technical assistance to public and private providers, including analyzing provider workflows and responding to inquiries.
- Develop and share regular CIIS “Tips and Tricks” and the monthly “User Impact Document” to inform users of system upgrades.
- Assist with backup coverage for the CIIS Training and Outreach Unit, including customer support, helping with immunization record requests and maintaining the Online Immunization Education Module.
- Six (6) years of professional experience in training design, user guides, website content, or related field, or a combination of education and experience equal to six years.
- Experience designing training materials for curricula.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Experience in public health, immunization registries.
- Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
- Attention to detail, prioritization, and goal management.
- Pre‑employment background check.
- Travel for meetings, conferences, national events, possible overnight stays.
- Work during delayed start, early release, or closure situations.
- Availability during emergencies and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) activation.
