EEG Technician

Job Summary

Scotsman Medical Solutions is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented EEG Technician to join our growing neurodiagnostic team. This part-time, 1099 contract role involves performing Brain View electroencephalogram (EEG) studies in outpatient clinical settings, including family medicine practices and personal injury clinics.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in medical testing administration, excellent patient communication, and is comfortable working independently in fast-paced, clinic-based environments. You will work closely with the Scotsman Medical Solutions Operations Manager and coordinating medical professionals to ensure high-quality diagnostic testing while maintaining patient safety and compliance.

• Prepare patients for EEG testing by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
• Apply electrodes using proper EEG techniques to obtain accurate, high-quality recordings
• Conduct Brain View EEG studies according to protocol
• Monitor patients throughout testing to ensure safety and respond to patient needs
• Maintain, clean, and calibrate EEG equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Accurately document procedures and test data in patient records
• Collaborate with internal staff and ordering providers to support timely diagnostic reporting
• Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and company compliance standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional testing environment
• May assist with patient scheduling or coordination for cognitive assessments as needed

• Prior experience as an EEG Technician or in a neurodiagnostic setting preferred
• Experience in patient-facing clinical environments strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of neuroanatomy, physiology, and EEG technology
• Familiarity with outpatient workflows and diagnostic testing processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Professional demeanor and excellent patient communication skills

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position
• Part-time hours vary based on clinic demand (approximately 5–20 hours per week)
