PRN Medical Assistant – Denver, CO

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. Working closely with a primary care physician, you will oversee the full spectrum of patient experience – acting as a Medical Receptionist and performing clinical duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
- Review previous medical information and gather updated health data from patients
- Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, and aid procedures; coordinate with contracted labs for additional tests
- Administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the provider
- Collaborate with care team to develop individual patient care plans and address gaps in care
- Perform front‑desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, specialist referrals, check‑in/out, and coordination of out‑of‑clinic care
- Record accurate data in the medical record per documentation guidelines
- Process test results and provide patients with timely results via e‑message, mail, or phone
- Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups
- Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care; may vary based on clinic needs
- Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
- National or state‑specific MA certification or registration strongly preferred; required where necessary
- CPR/BLS certification required at start date
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
