PSYCHOLOGIST I – Neuropsychologist (Mental Health Hospital – Fort Logan)
The State of Colorado is seeking a Psychologist with a specialization in neuropsychology to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and consultation services at the Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Fort Logan (CMHH‑FL). This full‑time position offers a residency waiver and accepts both Colorado residents and non‑residents. A Colorado license is required by the start date.
About the PositionThe Neuropsychologist will serve all inpatient units, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate, treat, and consult on patients with complex mental illness. Core responsibilities include:
- Conduct neuropsychological evaluations and produce comprehensive assessment reports for treatment teams.
- Develop and deliver individual and group cognitive rehabilitation interventions, determining frequency and content of programming.
- Consult on treatment planning and discharge recommendations at case conferences.
- Supervise post‑doctoral fellows, pre‑doctoral interns, and psychology students, providing teaching seminars and mentorship.
- Coordinate testing procurement and management of online testing platforms with the clinical director and psychology staff.
- Participate in hospital‑wide events, training development, and program improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Psychologist license from the Colorado State Board of Psychologists.
- One year of experience as a licensed psychologist (or permitted psychologist).
- Valid drug screen and TB test upon hire.
- Completed background, fingerprint, and other State of Colorado checks as required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Doctorate in psychology with a 2‑year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology.
- Prior state experience and inpatient psychiatric experience.
- Proficiency with online testing platforms and test procurement.
- Experience in teaching seminars and supervising trainees.
