This is a limited position funded by the Vibrant Denver Bond, with an expected end date of December 31, 2032.

The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New community engagement specialist hires are typically brought into the organization between $80,217.00 - $/year.

Location & Schedule

The City and County of Denver balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. In this position you can expect to work on site or in community, three (3) days a week at:

Who We Are & What You’ll Do

The City and County of Denver is launching a unified Vibrant Denver Bond Office dedicated to delivering the $950 million Vibrant Denver Bond Program, passed by voters in November of 2025. Team members will operate with a “program-first” mindset, working collaboratively to deliver transformative investments on behalf of the City and County of Denver. Successful candidates will thrive in an empowered team environment, demonstrate accountability, and actively foster strong partnerships with the communities we serve.

The Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for the fiscal health of the City. The DOF leads fiscal analysis and guidance, budgeting, accounting functions, enforcement of fiscal policies, practices and procedures for the entire City and County of Denver. The DOF fulfills the state statutory responsibilities for tax assessment and collection. DOF also manages the City’s debt portfolio and investment portfolio.

The DOF commits to delivering these services through a financial structure that reflects the best practices of both the public and private sectors. This commitment promotes better service, enhanced performance measures, maximum accountability, and improved business processes.

The Capital Planning and Real Estate Division oversees capital financial planning and acts as the exclusive asset manager for the City’s real estate portfolio (excluding DEN and designated park land). Capital Planning is responsible for strategic capital planning, budgeting, proposal prioritization, administration of special districts, and development of the City’s Six-Year Capital Improvement Plan. Real Estate maintains the City’s real estate portfolio and continuously assesses the City’s short- and long-term real estate needs.

As the Controls Fiscal Administrator, you will:

  • Coordinate with capital program teams to review, analyze, and monitor capital financial information and report on such as required.
  • Maintain and enforce Capital Planning and Programming department policies, processes, and procedures for programs financed with debt or other obligations.
  • Coordinate project financial reporting for large capital projects and programs to inform capital planning.
  • Oversee timely, allowable, and consistent use and recording of finance proceeds in coordination with other departments.
