The Funding and Financing Strategy Service Lead is a senior leadership position within the Economics, Finance and Grants team, which offers great opportunities for professional growth. You will co‑lead a group of 20+ professionals and experts in their fields and manage 8-10 staff directly. You will work directly public and private organizations across the country to fund and finance their infrastructure projects and initiatives, driving both project delivery and business development for the group.

Co‑lead the Funding & Financing Strategy Service Group
Manage and oversee the development financial models
Overseeing and performing quantitative analyses and data analytics
Analyzing financial needs and opportunities for transportation agencies
Analyzing project and program funding and financing options
Researching funding and financing industry trends
Evaluating funding and financing alternatives and priorities
Developing the business case for infrastructure investments
Overseeing the development of reports, memorandums, and client ready documentation
Lead client meetings and workshops
Tracking, reviewing, and interpreting federal legislation and guidance
Providing strategic support in all phases of infrastructure planning and project development
Required Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proven experience managing staff
Strong understanding of inflation and cost drivers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated research skills and experience
Ability to think creatively, work independently, and deliver high quality work with minimal oversight
Ability to lead teams, synthesize problems, and communicate point of view and analytical results
Manage time efficiently while supporting multiple projects in parallel
Proven experience in transportation, infrastructure, and related sectors
Significant experience using Microsoft Office’s suite of applications and their higher level capabilities
Master's Degree in Finance, Planning, Public Policy or related disciplines
Familiarity with Federal Transit Administration and/or other US Department of Transportation funding and financing programs such as the Capital Investment Grants Program (CIG);
Section 5307, 5337, and 5339 formula programs; other discretionary grant programs; and federal financing programs such as TIFIA and RRIFFamiliarity with financial aspects and challenges of energy, water and other infrastructure
Strong understanding of federal and state-level infrastructure policy and funding
Strategic planning experience
